The northern regions of the world are very special in terms of wildlife and landscapes. They have an inherent beauty borne out of the harsh extremes at these latitudes and this is reflected in the clarity of the light there and ever changing weather conditions. Dramatic and tough, both in terms of environment and lives, no moment is ever the same. I can completely see why the region is just so enigmatic and lends itself to creativity, superstition and fantastical events. It’s not difficult to believe in anything in these regions of rapidly changing weather and flickering fires.
