In eastern regions, people and wildlife live closer than ever, it’s this melting pot of cultures and the animals they respect which is the fundamental interest to me here. Steeped in traditions and history, it’s fascinating. I’ve spent a lot of time in Sri Lanka when writing a book on the country and India too.
